Originally started by Michael Ruben Burmeister in February 1978 as M R Burmeister & Company. In June 1980 Hermanus De Villiers Lamprecht joined Michael Ruben Burmeister and they practised under the name and style of Burmeister & Lamprecht. The firm later relocated to 12 Graham Street, North End, Port Elizabeth during 1987. In 1996 Craig Todd De Lange joined the firm and in 1999 Burmeisters was incorporated and practised as Burmeister De Lange Incorporated. In May 2008 Soni Inc amalgamated with Burmeister De Lange Inc. to form a new firm Burmeister De Lange Soni Inc. During 2016 Burmeister De Lange Soni Inc had a revamp and commenced practising as BDLS Attorneys Inc. In August 2017 BDLS Attorneys Inc relocated to their new offices at 60 2nd Avenue, Newton Park, Port Elizabeth.

The legal software incorporated in our firm is Ghost Practice and Ghost Convey. Our staff are kept updated by attending regular training courses and workshops.
We have ten (10) professional service departments. These divisions fall under the general management of the firm. Each department is headed by a professional, who is responsible for co-ordination and control within the department. Our staff is our most valued asset.
